From the teaching Yeshua's Disciple: The Narrow Way

Greetings to all of you from Oklahoma!  I've been on a bit of a hiatus so that my family could focus on moving back across the Atlantic and settling into our new land.  It's been very exhausting, but the bulk of everything is finished.  Now we are learning the area, the resources, and starting our new routine.  I even saw an ad in the paper advertising Messianic fellowships.  I don't really have much experience with visiting Messianic fellowships besides HOI London and another organization that will remain nameless.  I've been quite sheltered and while I want to be in fellowship with believers, I know what it should look like due to reading the Word and seeing that put into practice by the HOI family.  I'm looking for people that are genuinely striving to walk out Father's truth by the example of Yeshua.  As the old people in the South say, "I ain't looking for no foolishness!"

It's good to get back into blogging.  For a while, I was without a reliable source of internet and it was hard to even keep up with watching the teachings, but I'm glad Father is not bound by Al Gore's internet - I'm joking.  This time of disconnection was a special time of reconnection with Him.  I just can't even begin to express my gratitude to the Most High for revealing Himself to me in a way I never imagined.  Probably just like many of you, He's been dealing with me on some core issues; matters of the heart.  Shortly before we began the moving process, I reached out for prayer during one of Marcus' service.  I wanted to ask for prayer for at least a week or more prior, but the spirit of fear prevented me.  I allowed fear to keep me from asking for prayer because I write the ministries' blog and while I feel I'm very candid about my walk, I was ashamed to openly seek prayer.  When I finally did, a Sister reached out to me to minister to me and we have remained in contact.  This Sister was an answer to my prayers and she gave me Godly counsel that I knew without a shadow of a doubt was from YeHoVaH.  When someone  steers you to the Word and not toward religion, it's wise to take heed.  I knew what she spoke was truth because Father had put it in my spirit a while back, but I was not in a place to actually receive it.  Not only did I receive that Word, but Father gave me practical advice so that I could apply it.

This all lines up perfectly with what was taught by Brother Marcus last Shabbat.  The Word that we receive into our lives should come from Him.  We have to stand guard that we are not receiving the words of men masquerading as the Word of the Almighty.  Where do our thoughts, practices, and doctrines have their origin?  Because we are autonomous creatures, we get to choose what we allow to take up residence in our spiritual database and this happens whether we are aware of it or not.  When we are not on guard duty, we choose to allow 'whatever' into our spirit.  When we don't test what we come into agreement with, we are choosing to be blown by the wind.  When I was growing up Christian, I had no idea that I was Protestant.  In fact, I don't even think I heard the word until I was an adult.  I had no idea about the religious world and where it all began.  Going to church was just a routine for me, but I'm thankful that I had parents that taught me about God.  That's where it all began and Father saw fit to bring me to a place where He could speak to me and teach me to be guided by His Spirit.  This is not the work of religion, this is the work of the Spirit of the Holy One and following the example of His Holy One.

The world of deception is definitely real and no one is immune from its threat.  Keeping Shabbat, wearing tzitzit, or celebrating Passover doesn't protect us from the threat of deception.  We have to know His Word and know the leading of His Spirit.  Walking in His full counsel with love and a heart submitted to His ways is the only protection, however, because we are flesh, we must always work to remain in Him.  If we are comfortable with receiving into our spirit and not testing it, then we will be deceived.  Religion is no different.  We must test what the Bible teachers, pastors, and theologians present to us.  We have to test what Mama and Daddy handed down to us.  We test it by the Word of God because He has given us His Word so that we would know Him and how to test what comes to us.  So His Word lays out His character and His will for us so that when something presents itself contrary to that, we know that even if it's presented with signs and wonders, BEWARE!  We must beware because Yeshua warned us in Matthew 7.  He was talking to professed followers of the Almighty not to those who couldn't care less about Him.  This is a warning to you and to me to make sure we are not getting mixed up in the traditions of men as though we are doing His will by diligently holding fast to their interpretations.  It's so easy to point the finger at the religion of our past and think it's referring to its practitioners, but we need to check with the man in the mirror first.  We must not think that we are standing next to Yeshua with one hand on our hip and shaking the other at the masses saying, "Yeah! You hear that heathens?!"  If we are not abiding in His full counsel, He doesn't know us either.  We can think that we're doing wonderful things and still be out of line; out of covenant!  This is a stern and important warning.  Don't fool yourself because this illustrates that He has guidelines established for His people to operate within and doing your own thing will leave you out in the cold.

When Paul speaks in Romans 1:29-32, we need to take heed and make sure that we are not guilty of behaving like that.  It is all connected.  The plan of the Creator is for the people that want to be joined unto Him to submit to His ways.  If we don't want to be joined to Him, then don't bother with this information, but if we do, we must do what He has called us to do.  We must not dance around with anything that exalts itself above Him.  Nothing should be more precious to us than Him and if it's not from Him, let it go.

Romans 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Remember that these things can present themselves in a variety of crafty ways that may not look like the devious definition we have in our own minds.  I've been rebuked by Father for doing more than a few of them and this is after my confession of faith.  It's not my desire to walk in unrighteousness, so I'm grateful for Father revealing it to me and correcting me so that I can walk on His righteous path.  I don't want Yeshua to say He doesn't know me and I don't want to pretend that just because I feel good doing 'religious' stuff or being a 'nice' person, that I'm in right standing.  We have to take this warning serious and make it personal; look in the mirror and examine yourself.  What are YOUR fruits? What's in YOUR heart?  Who are YOU submitted to?  Who's YOUR daddy?
